Telling you what to play…Minecraft
Suimply put the greatest game ever made. It is equally revolutionary and fun. There have been games that changed the way we play, like pong, and then there are insanely fun games like Super Mario Bro’s.
Minecraft is both. It is the game that has everything. The world is yours to shape. Build anything you want and monsters to fight. It has a beginning and an end and you decide when and where the game goes. Some may argue that World of Warcraft should take the mantle of greatest game ever. I can’t, tell you why later. You start out as Steve. You have nothing. You are in a wilderness and you are alone. You know there are villagers somewhere out there, but they could be miles away. It will be dark soon and the zombies, skeletons, spiders and creepers will be coming for you in a hurry. You have to turn things that you can gather with your bare hands into weapons and shelter and you have to gather food.
You can make magic and potions and a Diamond sword. The game lends itself to telling your story. You can play by yourself or with friends or you can play on Multiplayer maps. There are also puzzle maps and challenge maps made by users. And this is where the game outshines all others. The mods.
There are so many mods made by users and they are all free to try. I play the technic mod where the rules are the same except that while in vanilla Minecraft you can only craft your way to diamonds (weapons, armor and the like) Technic/Tekkit you can make nuclear power, bombs, lasers, it is nearly limitless what you can do. You can build great machines and in Technic the are many more creatures and dangers. Other mods like Hack/Slash and Yogsbox are unending adventure games.
This is why it edges out WoW. You can play alone or with others in gigantic maps. Do anything, go anywhere (you can literally go to Hell and back and INTO THE VOID). And it does not cost you a monthly fee to play. A community of great gamers are out there to keep making this game a great reality. A reality that was just once a dream of one man.
Last but not least…the creeper
It sneaks up behind you and blows up. It destroys everything around you, a total game changer. This critter keeps you on your toes. Every game needs a bad guy and the creeper is the best. After a while in the game you can withstand an explosion of a creeper without dying. Your stuff cannot. While you may feel invincible you still have to watch out as a creeper can take out something it took you hours to build. The creeper it the ultimate nemesis its only desire is to blow up next to you. It is Moriarty to your Sherlock. Its only goal is your destruction even if it has to die to achieve this. All other games the bad guy tries to kill you before you kill it. Not the creeper.
I should point out that understand the graphics are less than what you would expect, however if you system is not up to it the game will ruin your PC. There are great texture packs that change the way the game looks and use immense resources. It is all blocks and it is so vast in scope it wouldn’t work any other way.

Telling You What to Play...
Battlefield 3
Possibly one of the greatest games ever. No, really. at first glance you may be tempted to say, "It looks like every other FPS out there." Well, it is not. It is a FPS and you are in military gear but that is where the similarity to other FPS like Magical Warfare 3 and Call of Dookie 2 ends. Not only can you shoot people in the face (The most important part of any video game) but you get to drive jeeps, Humvee, tanks, anti aircraft, mobile artillery, 4-wheeler, Armored personal carriers, jets and helicopters. Oh, and you think that wall you are hiding behind it safe? Boom! There is no wall! That's right the world can be destroyed. The destruction level is a step down from BBC2 but the graphics are better. Also, in BF3, physics exist! This is the one thing that vexes most MW/COD players. In BF3 you have to...gasp...take cover. Being shot at disorients you and (hand covers mouth in surprise) you have to aim. No Lee Harvey Oswalding people in this game!
Ok, so that is not true. The game is not perfect. You can spend hours playing before you can regularly shoot people in the face. The point is to squad up and work as a team no matter what style of match you play. If you are a NOOB ( and you know who you are) it is best to put the rifle away and work in support for your squad either as a medic or dropping ammo. Points are earned this way and more points equal better equipment. Reviving a fallen teammate not only helps a lot (especially in Rush mode) it gives you as many points as killing an enemy (or more if it is your squad mate you revived).
Still not enticed? How about there are very few preteens? There are loads of people dedicated to the game mechanics and DICE is always changing them (more on that later) Check out LevelCapGaming for more. He is one of many my favorite is the Only in Battlefield and The Troll Army, oh don't for get the The King Of Sweeden (Oh so NSFW).
Ok on to the Bad. Dice will Fuck with you (Sorry Mom, no other way to put it.) You just get used to a gun and they change it. There are Trolls out there who look for any hack they can to get an advantage and they find out what gun has been nerfed and which one is now way to powerful. To be fair there is not super gun and a whole lot less noobtubing, but there are guns way to powerful in certain situations and the LMG is under powered giving A holes with assault rifles the rule of the game. Also there are way to many hacks. Guys hiding where you can't see them or kill them, like in a wall. I hate the ac-130
as well. (There are also guys and gals way to good who can ruin a good time but that is with every game.)
Even after that and even though yours truly rage quits at least twice a week. The game is amazing. The details are immense and the maps are gigantic. Some matches can take more than an hour. It is almost sandbox in scale and the role you play is up to you. There are even user made servers that can have custom rules and game-play.
So there you have it. One of the best games ever but not the best...that's next.

Good Start...
Welcome Friends!
This is a Haven for all things GEEK. We will cover a variety of topics including games, physics, entertainment...well all things geek. We want an environment where you can share your passions without Judgement (except the Perpetual Supreme Benevolent Editor Click HERE for more info). Soon we will have great post pictures, ideas and more for all geeks out there.
